Their names will not appear on the ballot, but must be written in the lines provided under the seven regular candidates running for Santa Cruz City Council. Do so, and then fill in the oval to the right of the names you've written in, as you would with any other candidate you vote for. You can do the same with an absentee ballot--use a #2 pencil.
