of Richard Hardy\u00a0 (see <a href=\"http:\/\/www.santacruzsentinel.com\/localnews\/ci_23092865\/homeless-man-injured-during-arrest\" target=\"_blank\">http:\/\/www.santacruzsentinel.<wbr>com\/localnews\/ci_23092865\/<wbr>homeless-man-injured-during-<wbr>arrest<\/wbr><\/wbr><\/wbr><\/a> ).\u00a0 SCPD uniformed officers reportedly have &#8220;better training&#8221; than the private security heavies hired by the City to appease the Take Back Santa Cruz\/Lynn Robinson\/Pamela Comstock mob.<\/p>\n<p>The increasing demonization of homeless people is encouraged by by neo-fascistic groups like the Public Hysteria Citizens Task Farce (which calls itself the Public Security Citizens Task Force) set up to legitimize &#8220;an unwelcoming attitude towards the homeless.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>This situation will grow worse on July 11th when a new anti-homeless &#8220;Public Safety&#8221; ordinance goes into effect. \u00a0 (See &#8220;Anti-Homeless Laws at Santa Cruz City Council&#8221; at <a href=\"https:\/\/www.indybay.org\/newsitems\/2013\/05\/26\/18737433.php\" target=\"_blank\">https:\/\/www.indybay.org\/<wbr>newsitems\/2013\/05\/26\/18737433.<wbr>php<\/wbr><\/wbr><\/a>).\u00a0\u00a0 This new ordinance (MC 13.08.090(b)) reads\u00a0 &#8221; Any person who by his or her conduct, or by threatening or abusive, or profane language willfully molests or unreasonably interferes with the use of a City park or beach by any other person shall be guilty of a misdemeanor.&#8221;\u00a0 This sets up &#8220;fuck you, leave me alone!&#8221; responses for a year in jail and $1000 fine as well as a pre-conviction 24-hour banishment order from the park in question.<\/p>\n<p>The First Alarm Security Thugs are reported covered under MC 13.08.090(a) which reads &#8221; Any person who willfully harasses or interferes with a City of Santa Cruz employee in the performance of his or her duties in a City park or beach, shall be guilty of a misdemeanor.&#8221;\u00a0\u00a0 This, of course, turns around the kind of security thug &#8220;move along or be intimidated&#8221; attorney Federico Sayre said at a news conference Monday.<br \/>\nDoctors had to removed part of Antonio Lopez Chaj&#8217;s brain and skull after the April 2010 beating at La Barra Latina in Torrance. He can no longer speak, needs help walking and requires 24-hour care.<\/p>\n<p>Sayre said an unlicensed, untrained security guard with DGSP Security and Patrol Service beat Chaj with a baton or metal bar, kicked him in the head eight times and bashed his skull on the pavement four times. Chaj was attacked after he tried to intervene in a fight between one of his two nephews and the bar manager.<\/p>\n<p>The guard was never charged; police said they lacked independent witnesses.
