Witness, oppose, and document police and ranger harassment using “closed areas”, “blocking the sidewalk”, “public nuisance”, “public trespass”, and “illegal lodging” to get around the Boise v. Martin “No shelter? No tickets!” decision.
Demand City Manager “Mangler” Martin Bernal and SCPD Police Chief “Ambushmaster” Andy Mills account for their destruction of Camp Phoenix ignoring City Council’s required Standard Operating Procedures for closing encampments. Bernal and Mills oversaw the Unauthorized Shutdown of Camp Phoenix, the Quintero Memorial Survival Campground Supported by the Santa Cruz Union of the Homeless on November 10th, Swept Away by Police on November 15th without warning, notice, or adequate shelter. Subsequently Bonny Hill, an elderly woman, was found dead the morning of November 17th.
