The police took all their things on November 10th. The five other people living their also lost all their things. The City of Santa Cruz gave Joby a $500,000 interest free loan. This is the dystopian hellscape they call Santa Cruz.  https://www.santacruzsentinel.com/2025/11/15/joby-takes-first-flight-of-its-hybrid-demonstrator-aircraft-in-marina/

[Another McHenry entry] There is a Flock Camera pointing at the [downtown Santa Cruz] Library. These are much more than a License plate reader. These cameras can identify people walking by and they send this information to over 4,000 law enforcement agencies.

[And another] In 2019, the City of Santa Cruz lied and our [Ross Camp] friend Desiere died because of their lies. They told a Federal Judge that the homeless they were evicting from the safety of Ross Camp would have a place in the shelter or hotel but that wasn’t true and we told the judge that but he believed the city. These are two of the people [then officials] who lied that are still in office. Susie O’Hara – sohara@santacruzca.gov Supervisor Justin Cummings – Third.District@santacruzcountyca.gov

[from Backpack Project Victoria B.C.] Lewis St. In Duncan has been cleared.  Duncan does not have enough shelter spaces. No housing. And extreme weather is here. People are suffering and dying on the streets, bylaw is confiscating survival gear and violently displacing people. And people who live without homes are denied basic human rights such as clean drinking water, showers, toilets and safe secure housing. Where is the humanity? Where are the solutions?

Two children have been killed every day in Gaza since the so-called ceasefire began. Why has this disappeared from the headlines? The genocide never ended — and our government is still complicit. End all arms sales to Israel, now. Demand local government divest from all companies doing business with apartheid Israel.
