Housing Matters [HM] (better known as Funding Matters [FM]) has a pay-to-play [$13] forum at the Rio Theater  1205 Soquel Ave. The forum features FM povertypimp apologist Don Lane, numerous FM salaried subordinates, and more!

HUFF, Food Not Bombs, People’s Aid, and other groups will be gathering at 5 p.m. Thursday to challenge the Cruel Sweeps of the Homeless and the Trashing of their Survival Gear.  These police search-and-destroy missions are ongoing in a town with no shelter or storage facilities for the majority of those living outside.  The strategy—particularly in the wake of the Supreme Court’s destruction of the lower court’s Martin v. Boise protections—is to terrorize the unhoused out of town, out of sight, and into warehouse facilities which require abandoning their property and usually lead back to the street.

Bring umbrellas and rain gear—it’s 90% chance of rain.

At an earlier rally at the Galleria demanding answers from FM boss Phil Kramer and Mayor Keeley , FNB activist Keith McHenry was served with a stay away order for protesting outside and trying to enter.  On Monday January 27, he was arrested for seeking to document the police and Cal-Tran sweeps that Kramer  praised.  McHenry faces a potential 1 year in jail and $1000 fine for peaceful protest.
