  • Taking officers to Small Claims Court for loss of your property is one way of challenging City misconduct against those living outside.  Success if by no means certain, but to begin the process requires clear and accurate information.
  • Reggie of HUFF has set up a number to report (1) police raids being threatened by notice or verbal warning, (2) property taken in the raids, (3) your contact information so we can get in touch with you for more details.  831-216-8239
  • You needn’t give a legal name.  Simply call yourself what you want.  Leave a contact number and brief statement.  We’ll get back to y ou.
  • If you’ve been badly treated by one of the well-funded service agencies (Housing Matters, the Armory/Look-Out, 1220 River St., Jeremy Leonard etc.), the intake gatekeeper let us know.   If you’ve been well treated, also let us know.             
  • If you want this kept private, say so.  If you want others to know, say so.  We would also like to publicize abuses with your permission.
  • We can also help you file a Claim Against the City  (must be done within 6 months of the abusive action). 
  • More cop accountability in Court means less abuse to those surviving outside.
